Casa da Música it is the first new building in Portugal to be entirely dedicated to music - to the presentation and public enjoyment of music, to music education and to the creation of music.
Conceived by Rem Koolhaas architect, is surprising in terms of shape, structure, materiais and functions.
Undoubtedly a place that challenges visitors and that invites to a constant discovery.
In addition to concerts, recitals and performances, the Concert Hall holds meetings for musicians and musicologists, investing in pursuit of the origins of Portuguese music and has invested heavily in its role as a core element in music education. It is defined also as a platform open to cultural crossroads between music and other areas of artistic creativity and knowledge, a space open to all audiences and all the creators.
