Set in a beautiful Palace built at the end of the eighteenth century, the museum displays nineteenth and twentieth century paintings - particularly portraits and landscape - and sculpture - namely the outstanding Soares dos Reis.
Also worth visiting are the jewellery and ceramics collection as well as objects illustrating the contacts between the Portuguese and Orient and, last but not least, the camellia garden.
